Job Summary:
The Floating Teacher is a vital part of our team, providing support across multiple classrooms as needed. This is a permanent position where your assigned classroom may vary along with your duties. The Floating Teacher assists in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment by supporting daily activities, classroom management, and fostering children's social, emotional, and educational development.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide classroom support wherever needed, assisting Lead and Assistant Teachers in maintaining a structured and positive learning environment.
Step into different classrooms to help implement lesson plans and activities.
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and rest periods.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
Support children in developing independence, social skills, and positive behavior.
Communicate effectively with staff and parents to ensure consistency in children's care and learning.
Follow all school policies and safety procedures to ensure child well-being.
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is a plus.
Strong adaptability, communication, and teamwork skills.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.
Ability to pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
Work Schedule & Compensation:
Position Type: Permanent
Schedule: Availability between 6am-6pm; Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $12-$14/hour based on experience

The Summer Helper provides seasonal support to Little Shepherds Preschool and Daycare, assisting with daily activities, events, and field trips. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in a fun and dynamic environment while ensuring a safe and engaging summer program.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily activities, setup, and cleanup.
Support staff in supervising and engaging with children.
Help organize and facilitate games, crafts, and educational activities.
Accompany and assist on field trips, ensuring safety and participation.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Perform light administrative or maintenance tasks as needed.
Follow all company/school policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Ability to work well in a team and follow directions.
Comfortable assisting with and supervising children on field trips.
Previous experience working with children is a plus.
